Bison News · Welcome Coach Rob Johnson (Girls Golf)

Coach Johnson wears many hats, as that has been a trend for many years looking at his background. He has been a coach for 20 years.  He has coached many sports including golf, football, basketball (boys and girls), baseball and softball. Growing up he played all of the above sports as well as wrestled and ran track. He stated “I feel very bad for my parents now that I understand the commitment they gave, not even including the gas money”.

He has three kids who all played college sports (Basketball, Baseball and Football), coached all three in every sport they played and was a part of their high school programs up until they graduated.

Coach Johnson is a PE teacher and Athletic Director at Aurora Quest, the announcer for Vista Peak boys and girls basketball teams and the announcer for APS at the stadium.

When asked how golf fit in, he stated “Girl’s golf comes at the end of all of the previous items and I am very excited to coach your girls’ team to the absolute best of my abilities.  I can’t wait to meet all of the girls and their families too”

Girl’s Golf Practices officially begin on April 19th at Murphy Creek golf course.  In the meantime, if you would like to meet Coach Johnson in person and ask about the program he will be available Friday 3/26 and 4/2 from 12-1pm at Vista Peak or you can email him at rsjohnson@aurorak12.org
